Create an organization in SeaTalk

To have features such as claims and leave in SeaTalk, you need to be part of an organization. You can either join an existing organization or create a new organization. You can also be part of more than one organization.

If you want to work with your colleagues who are already on SeaTalk, you can choose to join the existing organization. Otherwise, learn how to create a new organization below.

Mobile

To create your organization in SeaTalk:

  • On your mobile device, download and install the SeaTalk app (iOS or Android).
  • Open the SeaTalk app.
  • Enter your work email address and tap Next. You can also sign up using your phone number or Google account by tapping the icons below.
Please note: currently, SeaTalk accounts created with Facebook accounts or Apple IDs cannot create organizations.
  • Enter the verification code sent to you and tap Sign Up.
  • Tap Create Organization.

  • Enter your business name and tap Next.
  • Select your business location and tap Next.
  • If you want further support from our team, enter your contact number.
  • Once done, tap Create. Your organization will be created.

Your account will automatically be set as the Main Super Admin for your organization. You can log in to the SeaTalk Admin Center on your desktop computer to start setting up your organization.

Desktop

If you already have a SeaTalk account, you can create an organization on desktop. Be prepared to have your mobile device to complete the signup process.

To create your organization in SeaTalk:

  • On the SeaTalk official website, click Get Started in the upper right.
  • In the form, enter your details. To create the organization with your phone number, click Register by phone number at the bottom.
  • Ensure your email address or phone number matches your existing SeaTalk account login details. Once done, click Submit.
  • Click Step 2. Your organization QR code will be displayed.
  • On your mobile device, open the SeaTalk app and ensure you're logged in to your SeaTalk account.
  • In the top right, tap the + icon and select Scan QR Code.
Please note: you can only use the SeaTalk app to scan the organization QR code. Other apps will not work.
  • Scan the organization QR code shown on your desktop screen and tap Confirm on your mobile device. Your organization will be created.

On your desktop browser, you'll be redirected to the SeaTalk Admin Center so you can set up your organization. Your SeaTalk account will automatically be set as the Main Super Admin for your organization.
