Add and remove contacts to your chat group
If you’re the chat group owner, you can add and remove contacts from your group chat.
Add contacts to your chat group
You can add new contacts to an existing chat group.
Mobile
- On your mobile device, open the SeaTalk app.
- Tap the chat group you want to add the contacts to.
- In the upper right, tap the icon.
- In the Group Members section, tap the + icon.
- Tap the contacts you want to add to the chat group.
- In the bottom right, tap OK.
Desktop
- In the SeaTalk desktop application, click the chat group.
- In the upper right, click the Add member icon.
- In the right panel, click the + icon.
- In the dialog box, select the members you want.
- Once done, view the members you've selected on the right.
- To show the chat history in the past 24 hours to these new members, toggle the Display Chat History to New Members switch on.
- Click Add. They will join your group chat
Remove contacts to your chat group
You can remove contacts from an existing chat group.
Mobile
- On your mobile device, open the SeaTalk app.
- Tap the chat group you want to remove contacts from.
- In the upper right, tap the icon.
- In the Group Members section, tap the - icon.
- Tap the contacts you want to remove.
- In the bottom right, tap OK.
Desktop
- In the SeaTalk desktop application, click the chat group you want to remove contacts from.
- In the upper right, click the … icon.
- In the right panel, click the - icon.
- In the dialog box, select the contacts you want to remove.
- Once done, click Remove.
