The Schedule Message feature allows you to compose a text message and set it to be sent at a future time. This makes it easy to work across time zones or ensure a colleague receives your message after returning from leave.
Scheduling a Message
Mobile
iOS
- Open a chat and type your message.
- Tap the + menu and select Schedule Message.
- Choose a date and time.
Android
- Open a chat and type your message.
- Long press the Send button.
- Choose a date and time.
Desktop
- Open a chat and type your message in the input box.
- Click the arrow next to the Send button.
- Choose from the following options:
- Tomorrow at 09:30
- Next Monday at 09:30 (not visible on Sundays)
- Custom time (select a specific date and time)
- If selecting Custom time, choose a time and click Confirm to schedule the message.
Viewing Scheduled Messages
Mobile
- A banner will appear in the chat’s main feed or thread if there exists any scheduled messages.
- Tap View Details to see all scheduled messages.
Desktop
- A banner will appear in the chat’s main feed or thread if there exists any scheduled messages.
- Click View Details to see all scheduled messages.
Managing Scheduled Messages
Mobile
Long press the scheduled message to trigger the message action menu.
- Edit: To modify the content.
- Update Time: To change the scheduled send time.
- Send Now: To immediately send the scheduled message.
- Delete: To remove the message from the scheduled list. This message can no longer be accessed after deletion.
Desktop
Right click the scheduled message to trigger the message action menu.
- Edit: To modify the content.
- Update Time: To change the scheduled send time.
- Send Now: To immediately send the scheduled message.
- Delete: To remove the message from the scheduled list. This message can no longer be accessed after deletion.
Note:
- Scheduling a message on mobile will not work in whisper mode.
This feature will be available in version 3.52 or above.
